Sitting Around and Chewing the Fat

I’ve already blogged about America’s massive obesity problem; I won’t hammer that issue into just another U.S. “belly-blog.” Instead, I’d just like to present the results of a United Nations “daily calorie intake” chart, and let it speak for itself:

For those who care, and obviously this differs with size, age and levels of activity, on average, adult women should consume about 2,000 calories per day while adult men should have no more than 2,400. Type two diabetes and heart attacks might have to move into a new category: trendy new American hobbies.
I’m Peter Dekom, and I suspect that I need say no more.
